I had PRK done in May by Dr. Columbus.  All I can say is that he is a miracle worker! I am 46 years old and wish I would have considered PRK earlier in life.  My vision is 20/15!! I don't need reading glasses,  at least for now, and I can see things I never thought possible.  My family and friends are blown away by the things I can read at a distance.  Dr. Columbus is one of the most sincere, kind and honest doctors that I have worked with.  I also want to compliment Nancy, who works in Dr. Columbus's office.  She went above and beyond to take care of me the day of my surgery.  Dr. Bill also played a key part in helping get my PRK surgery.  They all pulled together to make it happen in a way that was more than convenient for me, and truly showed me just how much they cared about my well being and vision, not only now, but in the future.  You simply do not find people like these these days anymore.  I would highly recommend Dr. Columbus and his staff.  They are compassionate beyond measure, and the best part, after your surgery your life is CHANGED!! Thank you to Dr. Columbus, Dr. Bill and Nancy. The experience I had going through Dr. Columbus for my lasik has me questioning why I didn’t do it sooner. I called one day was in for consult within the week and then scheduled for surgery in about a month or so. The day of surgery I went in and was out within 30-45 minutes procedure only being what felt like 5. I could see right away. Just to give an idea I was -7.50 and -7.75. After you are told to keep eyes closed for 5 hours so I laid down and took a long nap. After we went to dinner and I was watching tv etc. with little to no blurriness. I’ve had a few check ups now and I’m seeing 20/15! I do continue to put eye drops in to keep eyes moist which is essential to the healing process. As far as cost goes I feel Columbus was extremely affordable while offering the best technology when it comes to LASIK. If you’re thinking about having lasik I highly recommend you call Columbus LASIK. I also liked how every time I called for anything I was always speaking with one of the doctors.

Had LASIK on both eyes simultaneously and results were excellent. Both doctors are very caring and make sure you have all the information to make a decision. Very prompt and responsive. Dr. Columbus did a great job walking me through the entire process. I had slight complications due to no fault of Dr. Columbus, yet he took the time to make sure everything was corrected and taken care of and I felt confident in his ability to get me there. He talked me through the whole surgery, which helped calm the many nerves I had. His brother also did a great job explaining everything in my initial consultation which helped make me feel good about the decision I was making. Overall, it was a life changing experience that I'm very grateful for. I was far more than just another paying customer. Hands down has been life changing!! Through every step from consultations to the procedure and through the follow ups expectations were made very clear. I was made extremely comfortable and any concerns I had were addressed. I am now post procedure and my eyes feel great!! I can see clearly and I was given specific after care instructions to insure my healing process is smooth. I struggled with contacts for years and I am so happy I took this step. If it wasn’t for how thorough Dr. Columbus is I probably wouldn’t have done it. What I think is great he pushes to achieve greater. This has truly been a big deal for me. If I could give Columbus Lasik Vision more than five stars I would.  Whether you are extremely excited, nervous, or both to have Lasik done, Dr. Columbus makes you feel calm throughout the process and I felt completely safe in his care.  He has preformed over 30,000 surgeries and it definitely shows.  He does not rush you and answers any questions you have before, during and after.  He explains everything he is doing throughout the procedure so there are no surprises and he never does anything to jeopardize your safety or the care you should receive.  Not only is he a terrific Dr. but such a kind hearted person as well.  It doesn’t matter what time you call the office, you will always get him or his brother on the phone, not a secretary or after hours call in center.  They even drove to the office at 8 pm at night just to check my eye due to some discomfort I was having and five minutes later I walked out of there feeling 100% better. What other office or dr would do that?  This is a family run business where you are not just a number, they genuinely care about their patients and their reputation shows it.  You will even meet their mother in the office who is one of the sweetest people I ever met in my life.  Walking out of there is like walking out of your own family because that’s exactly how they make you feel…like family. I had PRK done with them and it was a great experience.  I can see and I’ve never been happier.  I would definitely recommend them and prk.  It is great being able to see again.
