The Story Behind the Creation of Columbus LASIK Vision

The story behind the creation of Columbus Lasik Vision centers in Philadelphia, Wilkes-Barre, & Harrisburg PA, was named after his father Augustus Columbus. DR. Columbus Called his father Gussy as his nickname. Gussy was born & raised in Staten Island NY and fought in the historical World War 2 battle. After his military career, he worked or the government for most of his career at the pentagon. When he retired he moved from Washington DC to Wilkes Barre PA. in Wilkes-Barre PA PA, he raised his three children paying their school tuitions at Scranton Preparatory School & University of Scranton as he wanted to see his all three children have a better education so they can excel in life. Dr Columbus opened his LASIK center dedicated the name of it to his father and in honor and recognition of all his fathers love and support in helping him through his school and training to become an eye surgeon. Dr Columbus thanks him so much for his sacrifices love and compassion for our surgeon. Dr Columbus appreciated all his father’s work and craftsmenship in building the Philadelphia, Wilkes-Barre, Harrisburg PA offices that he helped construct the laser suites as well as paint, flooring sinks, and cabinetry to build with his his sons as their daily projects outside of work. His father also made lunch and dinner for his family working everyday in Wilkes Barre PA office and he would hang out at the the Wilkes Barre PA office telling his many years of life experience stories escpecially his World War 2 experiences in his Youth. Dr Columbus’s father passed away a few years ago with a lasting 92 years of memories and stories Dr. Columbus can now share with his patients. Dr. Columbus’s father’s legacy and memory continues as he displays on all his Wilkes-Barre, Harrisburg, Philadelphia PA offices was his father mostly painted art work many of our Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Wilkes Barre PA patients compliment. Gussy designed all his pictures with the use of slat wood to create 3 dimensional pictures depicting mostly land and ocean scapes in brililant vibrant colors. All his art work can be seen in all his Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Wilkes-Barre PA offices. Dr. Columbus uses the values his father taught him to respect people like the thousands of his patients from Wilkes-Barre, Philadelphia, Harrisburg PA and always loves his patients as if family providing the BEST as a Surgeon to make the DIFFERENCE for ALL his patients!
